32nd ANNUAL WILLIAMSON LECTURESHIP takes place Friday, April 11, in Portales at Eastern NM University. Luncheon at 11:45 am in the Campus Union Ballroom ($8.00 each, reservations needed by April 7). Informal panels on “SF in Film” and “New Directions in SF and Fantasy” begin at 2 pm in Golden Library. Guests of the Lectureship are Steven Gould, Christopher Stasheff and Connie Willis. A special tribute also is planned for Lectureship friend Fred Saberhagen. Nominations for Bubonicon 41 Special Guests (2009) will take place 7:30 pm Saturday, April 5, at Huff Studio. Mark your calendar if you’re interested. This meeting is open to everyone! You need not be a member of ASFS or a past attendee of Bubonicon to come and suggest possible guests. (However, a little research can be helpful in talking about why your nominee would be a great Bubonicon guest.) If you cannot attend but have suggestions, please get your nominations to Kristen or Craig by Thursday, April 3.

Sci-Fi Night

- The NM Scorpions take on the Colorado Eagles with the puck drop at 7:15 pm. Doors open at 6 pm at the Santa Ana Star Center, 3001 Civic Center Circle, Rio Rancho, NM.
- Come hang out with local SF authors Jane Lindskold, Victor Milan, Robert Vardeman, Jerry Weinberg and Walter Jon Williams. The first 1,500 fans will receive a Scorpions rally towel.
- Tickets are $11 ($7 for students, seniors 60 years and up, and military)
