Whether you are coming to the con just for gaming or stopping by between panels, the gaming rooms will have something for you.Β We will have two game rooms — the primary game room (Gaming HQ Β· Acoma Room) is located downstairs in the main convention area next to the Art Show, and the additional game room is on the second floor above the hotel front desk (Taos Room).Β Β Because we have minors gaming, we are enforcing a policy of βNoΒ Alcoholβ in our game rooms.

Bubonicon Stamp Challenge! πβ¨
Scattered around the Bubonicon convention area (main floor) and Con Suite (17th floor) there will be 6 stations with famous robots, androids, droids, or A.I.!Β Each location has famous lines said from their movie or TV series!Β Your objective, is to find these stations with your stamp sheet in hand get it stamped by a Bubonicon staff member!
Be sure to visit all 6 stamp sites and then bring your completed sheet to Gaming HQ (Acoma Room).Β You will receive one free brand new board game, courtesy of Rio Grande Games! (Must have Bubonicon badge/pass to qualify.)
Where do I get the stamp sheet, you ask?Β At Gaming HQ (Acoma room) of course!Β What are the rules?Β They are on the back of your stamp sheet!Β One free board game per attendee!

Gaming Raffles ποΈ
There will be two raffles this year! Take a seat in any of our game rooms! Starting on Friday every hour, the game room staff will be handing out tickets to those who are playing a game for both raffles! Fill out the tickets with your name on one half and keep the other half for your proof of participation! Drop the half with your name into one of the raffle ticket cups for a chance to win the prize corresponding to that cup!
ποΈ Raffle #1 starts on Friday ends on Saturday at 6:00pm, we will do the 1st Raffle Prize Drawing immediately after! Please be present to win! Any other tickets that were not drawn roll over into Raffle #2.
ποΈ Raffle #2 Starts at 7:00pm on Saturday on through Sunday to 4:00pm Last tickets will be given out Sunday 3:00pm. Then, Sunday at 4:00pm we will do the 2nd Raffle Prize Drawing!
All raffle drawings for prizes will be done in Gaming HQ (Acoma room). You must be present toΒ win! All tickets will be thrown away afterwards!
Board Game Library ποΈ
Bubonicon 57 is featuring a Board Game Library located in Gaming HQ in the Acoma Room.Β Free to play for all Bubonicon members. We have GameMasters who would be happy to teach games.
Boardgame Library Rules
- Β Pick a game from those available.
- Β Play it only in our designated game rooms during the convention.
- Β Game Care: Borrowing patrons are responsible for returning all components and avoiding damage to the game so the next player(s) can have as much fun as you did.
- Β Return it to the library.
- Β Pick a new game to play!
Board Game Sign Ups! π
Game Masters “GMs” will have sign up sheets posted at the doors in front of the Gaming HQ!Β You can reserve a spot for a game when you sign up.Β Times for games are posted there.Β Look at the sign-up sheets for new games being posted & played during the convention.
Looking for players to play a game?Β All Bubonicon members can Game Master a game.Β You can fill out sign-up sheets with gaming staff.
Role Playing Games (RPG) Location:Β Second floor Taos Room — above the front desk. Take the elevator to the 2nd floor and walk around the balcony to the Taos Room!Β Sign up for your RPG Adventure at Gaming HQ Acoma Room’s front easels to reserve your seat.
Play & Take Games ββπ²
Play & Take games are back again! There will be a Game Master (GM) to teach the game.
One of the players of the game will have a chance to take the played copy home!
Duke City Catan Championship Cup Tournament (DCCCC) π
Here’s the lowdown:
Sign up for DCCCC like for normal board games at Gaming HQ Acoma Room.
- The preliminary round will be played amongst all the Tournament Players. The winners advance into the next round. Possibly — as needed — the next highest finishers(s) may also advance to fill in space(s) in the next round.
- Depending on how many competitors sign up, we will determine if a semi-final round is needed. If not, then we go directly to the finals (3 or 4 people).
- The winner of the DCCCC has their Bubonicon 58 pass paid for by Bubonicon (for next year), a prize from Empire Board Game Library, and their name engraved on the DCCCC trophy — plus displayed in a store, winner’s choice, that had sponsored the trophy.
