49TH WILLIAMSON LECTURESHIP IN PORTALES, NM
THEME IS “BENEATH THE BONES”
Event takes place at Eastern NM University in Portales, NM. Special Guest is New Mexico author T. Kingfisher/Ursula Vernon. She is joined by Mistress of Ceremonies Connie Willis of Colorado. Also expected to attend are Brian D. Hinson, Darynda Jones, Arkady Martine, Rebecca Roanhorse, Diana Rowland, Vivian Shaw, Melinda M. Snodgrass, John Stith, Lauren C. Teffeau, Sarena Ulibarri, Cordelia Willis and Courtney Willis, and other NM authors.
Festivities Friday, April 10, include a Guest of Honor reading by Kingfisher/Vernon in the morning, a ticketed luncheon at 12 Noon with remarks from Connie Willis and a keynote talk from Kingfisher/Vernon, a visit to the Williamson Special Collections in the Golden Student Success Center, and panel discussions in the afternoon.
* APRIL 10 LUNCHEON: 12 Noon in the Campus Union Ballroom (2nd floor) at ENMU, with seating starting at 11:30 am. Cost is $TBD, payable at the door. Reservations are required by Wednesday, April 1! Please email David Sweeten at david.sweeten@enmu.edu. Books should be available for purchase, and most participants will autograph items at this time.
On April 9, Cordelia Willis should be giving a forensic science talk, followed by a Carnival Cantina with student organizations. .
And Saturday morning, April 11, Connie Willis will be offering her Creative Writing Workshop. It promises to be a fun and productive conversation as always! Many guest authors join Connie for this discussion.
