♣ New Mexico author & Bubonicon friend Benjamin Radford returns for his semi-annual visit! Radford will be talking on Solving The Pachacamac Mystery.
♥ Plus we’ll have our club officer elections for moderator, alternator and executive secretary for 2027. Not to mention choosing a “challenge” ingredient or theme for our December 2026 Dessert Cook-Off (or deciding just to have a holiday potluck)…
First up, Benjamin Radford talks on Solving The Pachacamac Mystery: “In August 2016, a mysterious figure was seen at a gas station south of Lima, Peru at about 3:50 AM. What, exactly, happened remains in dispute to this day, but basically an unknown figure – variously interpreted as a ghost, a robot, an ancient evil god, or an alien – was seen by several gas station employees and – crucially – recorded on video. Investigator Benjamin Radford was asked to review the footage for the television show Strange Evidence, and later visited the location to conduct field experiments. For the first time he reveals the solution to this decade-old mystery.”
Radford is author or contributor to over 25 books (such as Mysterious New Mexico and Big-If True: Adventures in Oddity), and has appeared on Good Morning America, MysteryQuest, MonsterQuest, Is It Real? and many other shows.
After Radford is done, we’ll have our annual Club Officer Elections! And choose an ingredient or theme for the December cook-off/party.
Finally, the Halloween issue of ASFacts will be on hand. Deadline for submissions is 3:30 pm Sunday, October 4.

DOORS OPEN AT 7:15 PM. Enter through the back doors (northside) of church – the courtyard is locked up at 5:00 pm each day. Please do not arrive before 7:15 pm. We have to set up the room ourselves, and straighten/clean-up around 9:45 pm.
