Show Us Your Art!  Your Entries Are Welcome!

Bubonicon 56’s Art Show will be open to Professionals, Amateurs and Youths in grades K-12. We charge a small registration fee per person (waived if you attend the con, so consider joining us), and then a minimal hanging fee per piece.  Since we charge by the piece, we don’t sell panel or table space!

All types/formats of art are eligible!  We’ve had original pen & ink drawings, oil paintings, offset press and silk-screened prints, stained glass, jewelry, scarves, computer-produced laser prints, sculptures, fountains, and much, much more!

SPECIAL 2025 ART SHOW EVENTS

• Former Guest Artist Peri Charlifu gives a Docent Tour of the Art Show 11:00 am-Noon Saturday.
• Former Guest Artist Chaz Kemp gives a Docent Tour 2:00-3:00 pm Saturday.
• John “JP” Patrick gives a demonstration of his “Original Custom Sci-Fi LED-lighted Miniatures Display” 4:00-4:50 pm Saturday.

WE’RE STILL IN THE FUTURE — Silent Bidding Is Here!

The pandemic is over, so we’ve returned to having a “silent auction.”  The highest bid on a piece at the time the Art Show closes  on Sunday of the convention gets the art item (unless you make a Quick Sale purchase before any bids are written in)!  Artists should price their lowest accepted bid and Quick Sale amounts appropriately.)

We will accept mail-in artwork through End of Day (5:00 pm) Wednesday, August 20, 2025.

Artists bringing their artwork to the con should plan for load-in at 3:00 pm Friday, August 22, 2025.

2024 Award Winners – Best of Show: Professional to Elizabeth Leggett, Amateur to Asa Rodriguez, Student to Lucy Steffen, and Beast of Show (use of Theme) to Jon Sanchez & Jeremy Montoya.
Basic 2024 Stats – Total Sales of $16,173.  38 artists displayed their works.  51.2% of all artwork entered (for sale) was sold.

2023 Award Winners – Best of Show: Professional to Brenna Deutchman, Amateur to Rachael Mayo, Student to Tristan Sinatra-McCracken, and Beast of Show (use of Theme) to Alan Beck.
Basic 2023 Stats – Total Sales of $15,939.  42 artists displayed their works.  47.6% of all artwork entered (for sale) was sold.

2022 Award Winners – Best of Show: Professional to Lucy A. Synk, Amateur to Victor Saenz, Student to Meara Ensminger, and Beast of Show (use of Theme) to Sarah Clemens.
Basic 2022 Stats – Total Sales of $9,576.  35 artists displayed their works.  42.7% of all artwork entered (for sale) was sold.

2019 Award Winners – Best of Show: Professional to Chaz Kemp, Amateur to Ellis Bray, Student to Gracie Cooper, and Beast of Show (use of Theme) to Lannie Pihajlic.
Basic 2019 Stats – Total Sales of $13,752.  53 artists displayed their works.

2018 Award Winners – Best of Show: Professional to Elizabeth Leggett, Amateur to Rebecca Hewett, Student to Roberta Ice-Johnson, and Beast of Show (use of Theme) to Aubrey Elise Snellings.
Basic 2018 Stats – Total Sales of $14,655.  44.5% of all artwork entered (for sale) was sold, 63 artists displayed their works.

2017 Award Winners – Best of Show: Professional to Elizabeth Leggett, Amateur to Kaade Roberts, Student to TBA, and Beast of Show (use of Theme) to Ursula Vernon.
Basic 2017 Stats – Total Sales of $13,948.  47.4% of all artwork entered (for sale) was sold, 54 artists displayed their works.
